Cub Section report for 2009
This has been another successful year with the Cubs working to gain the following badges – map readers, naturalist, Athletes, personal safety, road safety, navigator, as well as the creative and fitness challenges. Many Cubs have worked individually to gain many more badges based on their interests and hobbies.
Over the past year we have taken part in a number of activities;-
May Broadstone fun day, a great and tiring day.
June Camp with Horam Cubs at Broadstone Warren, making the most of the activities available. 22 Cubs attended from Heathfield. Whilst at camp, we came back to help at the dog show.
October Annual Football tournament at Blackboys School. We had a great morning with everyone trying really hard.
November The cubs organised a Pokeman and Yu-gi-oh card swap evening. Money raised went to water aid.
Feb Annual swimming gala. We were runners up, having a great evening.
June Cubbly Bug Camp at Broadstone Warren where 32 Cubs attended for the action packed weekend.
Thank you to everyone who has helped over the last year. With so many Cubs there are times when we need those extra pair of hands. A special thank you to Lynn, Sarah and James for their help each week and Jackie Parker who always makes herself available especially for camps.
Akela.
